Managing Group Accounts

This page will help group account owners learn how to set up and manage them! The links below are still set up for another page — we’ll replace them when we get the content for this page.

Getting Started

To get to the page where you can manage your group, go to your My Account page, scroll down to the Subscription Details section, then click “Manage Group.” This will take you to the Group Membership page.

Alternately, you can just click this link to go straight to the group membership page.

When you get there for the first time, you should see the name of your group, the number of seats you’re currently using, and the name of the group owner (you).

Adding Members

There are a few different ways to add members. The first is by adding individual members one at a time. To do this, you need to complete the fields under Add Group Members for each new member, then click “Add Member.” If you leave the box above this unchecked, the member will receive an email invitation to the group. (Note: The email may go to the member’s spam or junk folder, so if they do not receive it, have them check those folders. If they don’t find them there, double-check that you entered their email address correctly.)

The second way is by importing a CSV file with the members’ information. This is a good option for larger groups. To do this, scroll down to Import Group Members and upload a CSV file, then click “Import CSV.” If you leave the box above this unchecked, all members will receive email invitations to the group.

Managing Member Roles

After you have added members to your group, you can remove them from the group or change their role from member to admin, which will give them the ability to add and manage members from their own account.

Changing the Group Name

At the bottom of the Group Membership page, you’ll see a Group Settings section. This is where you can change the group name.

If you are a group member…

Your subscription is being managed by your group owner. Your My Account page will show that you don’t have any active memberships under Subscription Details, but at the bottom of the page, it should say that you are part of a group membership, what the membership status is, and when you were added. For more information about your subscription, contact your group administrator.
