Removed Tools
The following tools, which appeared in the 2024 PDF guide, have been removed:
- CuriPow, from Content Libraries. The site seemed to be intermittently disappearing and more recently no longer offered a secure connection.
- Flip, from Speaking & Discussion. This tool has become part of Microsoft Teams. Flipped Events, from Global Learning, was removed.
- Fluency Tutor, from Literacy, shuddered in December of 2024.
- Halftone2, from Comic Strip Creators. This appears to be gone.
- Huddles, from Video: Live Streaming & Short Form. This site no longer supports education or teaching.
- Jamboard, from Collaboration & Project Management. Google shut this down to focus on integrating with tools like FigJam, Lucidspark, and Miro instead.
- Kaizena, from Feedback, was recently discontinued and has only limited availability in the Chrome store, so it was removed from the guide.
- Mozilla Hubs, from Virtual & Augmented Reality. This platform shut down.
- Omegle, which was mentioned briefly in Video Conferencing, shut down in November 2023.
- Scribblit, from Book Publishing. This platform shut down October 2024.
- Tegrity has been removed as an additional tool in the Video: Screencasting section because it seems to have been absorbed into a larger system owned by McGraw-Hill.
Name Changes
- Anti-Racism Daily, from Social Justice & Anti-Racism is now called Reimagined.
- ClassTag, from Parent Engagement, was acquired by SchoolStatus in 2024 and is now known as SchoolStatus Connect.

- Tar Heel Reader, from Special Ed & UDL, is now known as Monarch Reader.
- Today, from Productivity & Planning, is now called Studyo.
Other Updates
- WeVu, in Feedback, looks to be having a DNS error at time of publication. The tool has been shifted to draft until the issue is resolved or the tool is removed. We will update soon!
We will continue to monitor and add more tools every month, so check back here for more updates!
